A man who had three previous DUI convictions is facing prison time after a fourth felony DUI arrest landed him at the Maguire Jail.
If convicted, Tom Wilkinson could face more than seven years in a CA state prison.
Sources within the San Mateo Police Department say the man’s most recent arrest took place in late 2013 after he drove drunk and crashed his vehicle into two separate cars. His BAC was approximately .39 two hours after he was taken into custody.
Two people were injured at the time of the crash, according to a San Mateo PD spokesperson, and the defendant attempted to flee the scene of the crime. The victims, however, were able to take down his license plate number and passed that information off to local law enforcement.
Wilkinson only made it a few blocks before rear ending another vehicle. That driver was knocked unconscious.
The defendant currently remains in custody at the San Mateo County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail bonds.
