A spokesperson for the Millbrae Police Department said they are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect who was involved in a hit-and-run crash just before Christmas. The incident is reported to have taken place on Dec. 19 just before 7pm.
Police say a man who was approximately 30 years of age was getting out of his car outside of the All Souls Church on Miller Ave. The man is believed to have been on his way to attend the church’s annual Christmas Pageant. Instead, he was struck by a white Ford truck. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Surveillance footage was provided to the Millbrae Police Department. The truck, they said, was found shortly thereafter outside of a local home. The vehicle showed signs of being in an accident. Its owner has denied any involvement but has been identified as the drive by at least one witness.
The man has since been arrested and charged with felony hit and run. He was transported to the San Mateo County Jail to be booked and processed. His bail has been set at $150,000. The cost to hire a bondsman is 10% of the defendant’s total bail amount. Those who are unable to pay for the full cost up front may be eligible for a monthly payment plan.
