Jail Info

Maple Street Jail
1590 Maple Street
Redwood City, CA 94063

If a woman is arrested in San Mateo County, she will likely be brought to the Maple Street Jail. This facility houses both sentenced inmates and those awaiting trial. It is rated to house up to 130 inmates.

After arrest, the defendant will be transported to the jail for booking. This process will include photographs and fingerprinting, a background check and warrant search. Property will be held until she is released.

Once booking is complete, we will be able to post the bond for her release. It could take several hours after the bond is posted for the defendant to be released from the jail. Safety is always the top priority at any jail.

Men’s and Women’s Transitional Facilities
1580 Maple Street
Redwood City, CA 94063

Since jails in San Mateo are constantly facing overcrowding, the Transitional Facility allows for an additional 46 inmates to be housed in order to alleviate this problem both in the Maple Street Jail and the Maguire Correctional Facility.

Jail Alternatives

Alternative Sentencing Bureau
1580 Maple Street
Redwood City, CA 94063

Sheriff’s Work Program

Since 1983, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department has used the Work Program as an alternative to costly incarceration and around-the-clock confinement. Low-risk offenders may serve their sentences by working on public projects. A fee is required to take part in the Works Program.

Electronic Monitoring

This program started in 1995 as another alternative to incarceration. With advanced electronic equipment and personal surveillance, low-risk offenders that have stable homes can serve their sentences outside of the jail. Participants will undergo a screening process, must be employed or attend school or go to treatment programs. There is a fee, based on income, to participate in this program.

Bail Bond Cost and Payment

The cost of a bail bond will depend on the amount of the defendant’s bail. The Department on Insurance has set it at 10% of the bail. So, if bail is $20,000 then you will need to pay $2,000 for the bond. This fee cannot be negotiated and is non-refundable.

We accept payments made with cash and credit card. We also offer many convenient payment options for those who need help with the cost of the bail bond. Call 1-650-227-3547 to find out if you qualify for financing. There are no additional fees with a payment plan.

This is a tough situation to deal with on your own. Our team of bondsmen will work hard to make sure it goes as easily as possible for you and your loved one. Call us right away at 650-227-3547 for Maple Street Jail bail bonds.
