In March, 2012 Millbrae Police Department services were turned over to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department. They have since assured those who visit, work or live in Millbrae that the highest quality of law enforcement services will continue to be offered. At the current time the department has a total of four divisions.
The Investigations Division investigates crimes; the Patrol Division is charged with being the first responders to many incidents and keeping streets safe, the Records Division maintains, process and files police reports and the School Resources Division serves as a liaison between the department, Juvenile Probation and local schools. This helps ensure that behavioral problems in children can be addressed before they become more serious.
The Millbrae Police Department does not have its own jail. When someone is arrested within this city’s limits they will be taken to one of the Redwood City jails to begin the booking process. Bail bonds can be posted at both of these jails 24-hours a day 7-days a week.
